![]() But again the 1st ps4 after pulling my hair out for 2 days I took it to a repair shop and they installed a new HD. ![]() Unplug 30 seconds, plug back in with USB still in. Start ps4 in safe mode with USB still in, initialize with update (This fails but is necessary) 4. Unplug ps4 for 30 seconds, then plug back in. Plug in ps4, start in safe mode (hold power button for 7 seconds, release when you hear second beeps) In safe mode, update system with USB. Make sure to make and name folders and file correctly. Unplug ps4, download update file from playstation support onto USB drive. This will reboot your ps4 to a "new install" state as if you had just taken it out of the box. This WILL erase all data including user info, games, settings. ***Last resort before taking in to have fixed. ![]() 2nd ps4 followed these steps and it worked. First ps4 hard drive was pooched, had to replace it. ![]()
